By downloading, installing, or using Layergram, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use
You are solely responsible for the content you encrypt and transmit using Layergram. You agree NOT to use the app for any illegal, harmful, or terrorist activities under the laws of your jurisdiction. Layergram is a tool for privacy; it is not a shield for criminality. We explicitly disclaim any liability for how you choose to use the software.
3. No Central Servers & Zero Knowledge
Layergram operates entirely locally on your device. We do not host, route, or store your messages. We have zero knowledge of your identity, your contacts, or your cryptographic keys.
4. No Data Recovery (Loss of Keys)
Your private keys and passphrases are generated and stored exclusively on your device. If you lose your device, delete the app, or forget your passphrase, your data is permanently lost. We cannot recover your keys or messages under any circumstances. We are not liable for any data loss.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
Layergram is provided 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE', without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. While we use industry-standard encryption, we do not guarantee that the software is impervious to all forms of attack, especially if your device's operating system is compromised.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Layergram and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or digital assets, resulting from your use or inability to use the application.
